Hard luck, Chris! Bad boy Brown loses out as rival Nas locks lips with Nicki Minaj in Right By My Side video

He is not exactly famous for his skills at wooing women.
So it seems fitting that Chris Brown is snubbed by Nicki Minaj in the video for her latest single Right By My Side.
In fact, he ends up losing out to his rival bad boy Nas, who manages to win her over her gifting her an expensive sports car.

However, after she smooches with the rapper at the end of the video, which is filled with explicit language, she seems far from thrilled with her decision, as she winces as the camera pans out.

Chris, who was convicted in 2009 for viciously beating his former lover Rihanna, seemed to be onto a winner as he croons the outrageous singer during his guest appearance in the song.
They even share a cuddle and get very touchy feely while dancing together.

Yet Nas sagely decides on another plan of attack, and reasons showing evidence of his massive bank balance will be more effective than wooing her romantically.
Wearing a ridiculous pair of gold-framed glasses, he puts his hands over his eyes as he leads her to his love offering.
And it immediately seems to do the trick, as her face lights up with a massive smile, and she gives him an enthusiastic hug.

Quite what noted eighteenth century romantic author Jane Austin would make of the video is anyone's guess.
But she would surely believe that neither Nas or Chris are fit to lace the boots of Pride And Prejudice's dashing Mr Darcy.
Right By My Side is the second single from her current album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, and so far its highest Billboard Hot 100 listing has been number 12.
